Fantastic show

The show was energetic and entertaining with Derek Hough as the main performer/master of ceremonies. He was joined by a small and talented group of dancers that made up his troupe. The dancers were expertly backed by a saxophonist, bass guitar player and a pianist which augmented the show’s soundtrack. The premise of the show was Derek taking us through the world of dance, with an emphasis on the various dance styles that most influenced him. The execution of these dances showed an excellent blend of artistry and athleticism, by all of the performers. Each dance number delivered and had the fans cheering enthusiastically. My favorite numbers were his two number tribute to “Singin’ In The Rain”, as well as the latin- styled dances that were performed. In addition to dancing, Derek sang a few numbers and played a little bit of guitar. He also had some dialog with the audience where he shared his philosophies on life with his trademark earnest, homespun humor. We, along with the capacity crowd, loved every minute of it and we would give it a 5 out of 5. We are looking forward to his next show. We had seen his previous show in New York city with his sister, Julianne, and we definitely preferred this one.
